Blue waves show the AV's animated LiDAR sensing field · Dashed lines show the actual movement route · 4 lanes · Lane width: 3.6 m · Simulation ends 0.75 m before a road user's front reaches the drawn roadway end · Crash motion is an illustrative 2D impact response

01

Two-dimensional TTC

Future oriented footprints are propagated with velocity and acceleration. TTC is the earliest future instant at which their rectangles intersect.

02

Event-based PET

PET is the gap from the first user completely leaving the shared zone to the second user entering it. Overlapping occupancy produces zero.

03

Anti-tunneling physics

Each visual frame is split into small adaptive physics steps, capped by object size and speed, with collision tests at every internal step.
